This is the first listen of a new AüR prototype.

No comparison. Blind listening.

  • Sounds very good.
  • Sounds better than Midas.
  • Lacking magic sauce of TOTL tier.
  • SPCish type of sound
  • Not in same tier as EOH3
  • Treble is present in spades. But rendition like note decay is not at Wabisabi level. I am guessing does not contain precious metals.
  • Upper mids not pushed forward. Good for sensitive people
  • Bass is present, but not boosted like “Flying Horse”
  • Stage is wide in IEM terms. But not spacious. If your IEM and source have staging. It will be rendered.
  • Imaging is good, inline for this class.
  • Clarity is inline for this class.
  • Overall a very balanced cable. Does not appear to recess any frequency, or boost it into distraction. Does not tilt warm or bright.
  • Another great mid-range contender if the price is right.
  • Not for people who want frequency boost. E.g. Warm, mid range.
  • This cable is very good if you don’t want colour.
  • Using with sterile sources might end dry.
