Baseline - Toxic Silver Widow V3
I’ve been using the SilverWidow V3 as the main interconnect ever since I was gifted it. I have tested a whole bunch of ICs in the past. The SilverWidow came out the best. Some time has passed since. This is to put the SilverWidow against the new ones and a couple of old ones for a comparison.
Clear, lots of details, vocals are very nuances, stage is coming through. Dynamics is coming through.
SoundTiger (Red)
Missing details. Bass is good. Stage is smaller. Upper mids and the low end is coming through. The rest are smoothed out. SPC glare, treble is slightly artificial. Imaging is okay.
A decent sounding IC. But not as transparent as the SilverWidow. Good for beginners. On higher end equipment, you lose too much details.
SoundTiger (Blue)
Female vocals are forward. Stage is smaller than the SilverWidow. The details are coming through, little nuances are rendered. You can hear the different levels of reverbs. This cable allows the layers to come though. Imaging is good. Level of transparency is about the SilverWidow level. A bit of smoothness vs the high dynamism of the SilverWidow. Treble is good, but that tad SPC glare is present. Negligible.
A very good sounding IC. The part where it matters the most. Emotions are coming through. Does it beat the SilverWidow? No, it does not.
ALO Frankenstein.
This is a very old cable from the AK120 days.
A bit of veil. Sounds good, but clarity is not in the same league. Mids and lows are good. Treble render is poor. Air is present. Imaging is mediocre at best.
It was king of the hill once upon a time. Not a chance today.
IFI
Details on the poor side. Dynamics is average. Imaging is average. Sounds a tad artificial.
Overall. A pretty poor sounding cable. Not worth the money or time.
iBasso PB5 Stock IC
Good details, good imaging, treble render is very good. Upper mids not so forward. Stage is wide. Not as transparent as the SilverWidow.
Surprisingly, after the SilverWidow, this is ranked 2nd. Everything is present and good. Except for the transparency part.

Unique Melody MEST Jet Black
Using the PW cable. Bright Bass is on the mid bass side of things. Relatively airy presentation. A more clinical IEM. Quite fatiguing. A lot of upper register energies.
