Switch Up

Nightjar Duality.jpeg

This is the third time I am listening to this IEM.

Shell is very light. Fit is comfortable. No annoying aspects physically.

Cable looks terrible for the cost.

Bass shelf is huge. Mildly warm. The treble balances out the overall signature.

Upper mids not forward.

Strings are life like.

All the drums have a sense of kick and reality. Very life like from a non-musician point of view.

Bass layering is superb. Usually it’s texture, or slam. Duality has got texture and slam.

Stage is relatively wide.

Imaging is average. Notes are not as well defined. It’s good DD imaging.

This is all about the bass. Everything is just a supporting act.

Bass shelf is even larger. The other frequencies remain unchanged. At this point the bass is overwhelming the whole presentation.

Conclusion

A perfectly cohesive bass centric IEM.

Using the PW cable. Bright Bass is on the mid bass side of things. Relatively airy presentation. A more clinical IEM. Quite fatiguing. A lot of upper register energies.
