Zero Degree EOH3 (Wabisabi)

I borrowed a pair, listened for ten minutes, and decided to order my own. I felt a Godfall vibe in there; it seems Zero has tweaked the formula and added a dreamy diffusion. Now we have a solid copper cable that's not dark but instead sparkly, while also providing atmospheric diffusion. It's not quite at the level of Godfall, but it's certainly one of the best copper cables I've heard. There's none of that SPC glare—just a very open, organic sound.

iBasso DX340, AüR Ascension

The Ascension was already an IEM with a unique presentation—laid back with a slightly warm, analog feel. The diffusion from the dynamic driver gave it a smoky bar ambiance.

The Ascension shone effortlessly when paired with the EOH2. The warm copper sound complemented the treble sparkle, allowing the Ascension to open up further, though it never reached the level of the Aurora. It felt more like an incremental upgrade than a complete transformation. However, with the EOH3, it's taken a step up. The sound is even more organic than before—who knew that was possible? I also credit the DX340 for this improvement. The treble is more pronounced, yet retains a sparkly quality without becoming shrill. Vocals now have a sense of air around them. The added diffusion from the EOH3 creates a dreamy soundscape that enhances the already laid-back style of the Ascension.

In this context, it's about how much you can extract from the IEM. Apparently, there was still more to be discovered.

iBasso DX340, AüR Aurora

I must admit, when I first heard the Aurora, it didn't appeal to me. Its dark L-shaped tuning features rich male vocals and hard-hitting bass that extends deep, but the upper registers feel muted, lacking air and sparkle. The soundstage feels somewhat closed in, which may be great for those who are treble-averse. However, in my opinion, most music needs the full spectrum to truly shine, and the bass-heavy tilt overshadows the highs.

Then the EOH2 appeared—a copper cable that introduced treble. Everything changed. The Aurora became a completely different IEM. The timbre became exceptional, and the signature AüR mids came alive. Instruments were spaced out, and treble sparkled when needed. Female vocals and trumpets, which previously sounded distant, now had sweetness and bite. Amazingly, the bass remained hard-hitting and deep. The technical performance felt like it had doubled; this was the most dramatic transformation I had ever experienced from a cable upgrade.

Fast forward to today with the EOH3, and I'm happy to report that it’s even better. The brain-rattling experience continues. While the improvement isn’t as dramatic as before, the sound quality is now so refined that AüR won't be selling it at a giveaway price. This IEM has become emotionally charged—with rich, energetic mids that pull you in. The bass remains powerful, balanced by the treble, while still retaining its warm L-shaped character. It's impressive how a cable change can trigger such a significant transformation.
